About LarkWard

Capable protection, with integrity.

We started LarkWard for one reason: a parent should be able to know their teenager is okay, without spying on them and without drowning in false alarms. Calm, capable help for the AI age, built on your family’s side.

What we do We develop consumer software for family online safety: an AI-native app that helps parents recognize when a child may be at risk online, and handle it as a parent rather than as a monitor. iOS is our first platform.
Status Actively in development. The product is not yet released and is not available for purchase.

The risks moved. The tools didn’t.

Real danger talks in code

Vaping, alcohol, grooming, sextortion, self-harm. The serious things a teenager runs into rarely use the obvious word. They hide in slang, cover words, and context that doesn’t add up.

Keyword filters miss it

Most safety apps scan for banned words, so they cry wolf over jokes and miss the conversation that actually matters. Parents get noise, not the moment worth a conversation.

We read the whole conversation, catch what’s really being said, and tell you only when something is worth a conversation.

What we believe

The principles we won’t bend

Catch more, not everything

We aim to catch far more than keyword tools, especially coded and contextual risk. We will never claim to catch everything. Anyone who does is selling a flood of false alarms.

Human judgment, AI-powered

The AI surfaces what matters and shows you the actual thread. You read it, you decide. We don’t hand down verdicts about your child, and we’re not a black box.

Fair by design

We measure how often detection over-flags how kids talk, work to close that gap, and publish how fair we are. Fairer detection means fewer false alarms, for every family.

Your teen knows it’s there

Your teen knows LarkWard is there. We’re not a spy tool. We’re open about what we do and private about how the detection works, because publishing the method just teaches evasion.

Disciplined with data

We keep recent history for a bounded time, then it auto-deletes. It’s encrypted, never sold, and never kept as a permanent record of a child’s life.

We lead with relief

Serious things handled without fear-mongering. We lead with relief when a child is okay, and frame concerns as worth a conversation, never as a verdict of danger.

The care of a clinician, the rigor of a security team

LarkWard Technologies is a small, senior team, and we would rather earn your trust through how the product behaves than through a wall of logos. Licensed clinicians shaped the approach: precision-first, calm rather than alarming, so a concern arrives as something you can act on. That is guidance, not clinical validation, which we have not done.

Jason Lee

CEO & Founder

Jason has spent roughly twenty-five years in cybersecurity as a practitioner, a consultant, and a founder. He holds a degree in network security, a master’s in cybersecurity, and an MBA from the Broad College of Business at Michigan State University. He held senior security roles at Deloitte and NTT, and is a serial entrepreneur with multiple exits, most recently Blackwell Security, a healthcare-cybersecurity company he built and sold.

Protecting sensitive data about real people, under real regulatory scrutiny, has been the through-line of his career. LarkWard applies that discipline to the most sensitive data there is: a child’s.

Kimolyn Lee

Chief Operating Officer

Kimolyn is an award-winning realtor with Coldwell Banker, working as Keys with Kimolyn. The work puts her alongside families through the moments that reshape them, and she is a parent herself.

She has seen what children carry quietly, and how long anxiety, isolation and depression can go unnoticed before anyone thinks to ask. That perspective shapes who LarkWard is built for, and how it speaks to a parent when something needs raising.

Building it in the open. On your family’s side.

Parents, clinicians, and family-law professionals who want to follow the work are welcome to reach out. So is press with a question.
