This is an early v0 draft, pending review by counsel. It covers this website only. The privacy practices for the LarkWard app will be written, reviewed by counsel, and published before the product launches, and they may differ from this draft.

The short version

This website (larkward.com) is a simple coming-soon page. It does not collect personal information, set advertising or analytics cookies, or track you across the web. The LarkWard product is not available yet, so nothing here connects to it.

What this site collects

Nothing automatically. There are no analytics SDKs, no advertising trackers, and no cookies. Our web host (Cloudflare) processes standard, short-lived server logs (such as IP address and request time) to serve the page securely and defend against abuse. We do not use those logs to identify or profile you.

The fonts, styles, and images on this page are served from larkward.com itself, so simply loading the page does not call any third-party service.

If you email us

If you write to hello@larkward.com, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to share. We use it only to reply and, if you ask, to let you know when LarkWard is available. We will not sell it or use it for unrelated marketing, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

How the LarkWard app intends to handle data

This is a forward-looking summary of our intent, not yet a binding policy. The app's real policy will be reviewed by counsel before launch. Our design principles are:

  • We keep only recent history, which then auto-deletes. There is no permanent archive of a child's activity.
  • Only you, and anyone you choose to approve (such as a licensed therapist you bring in), ever read a flagged excerpt. No non-clinical LarkWard employee reads a child's content.
  • Content may be used in de-identified form to improve our detection models. That is machine processing, and we will be upfront about it, never bury it.
  • The product is transparent by design: it is built so a child can see it too, never to be a hidden tracker.

Children's privacy

LarkWard is a family-safety product, and protecting children's privacy is central to how we build. This website is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect information from them. When the app launches, it will have its own privacy policy and a verifiable parental-consent process designed to meet applicable law, including the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in the United States.

Changes to this draft

Because this is a v0 draft, it will change. The launch version will be reviewed by counsel and may differ materially from what you read here.
